In a recent development, Nandini Chakraborty has been appointed as the new Home Secretary of West Bengal, succeeding BP Gopalik. Nandini, a 1994 batch IAS officer, previously held the position of Tourism Secretary and was removed from the post of Secretary to Governor CV Anand Bose before her latest appointment.
